Genealogy class offered in October

The Family and Regional History program at Wallace State Community College in Hanceville is offering several options of interest to aspiring and accomplished genealogists this semester.
On Oct. 30, the program will conduct a day trip to the Alabama Archives for research and sightseeing. Participants will depart campus at 7 a.m. The cost is $30, due by Oct. 10.
An Introduction to Genealogy class offered on campus has been rescheduled for Friday and Saturday, Nov. 6 and 7. Other Genealogy options this semester include non-credit, two-day symposiums on Advanced Genealogy with Book Publishing, Nov. 13-14, and Southern Genealogy, Nov. 20-21. The Friday-Saturday classes are held from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day with a break for lunch. The cost for each class is $30.
