Marveline Holloway Alsbrooks Blankenship

Funeral for Marveline Holloway Alsbrooks Blankenship, 79, of Decatur will be Friday, February 11, at 11 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Martin Steelmon officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 10, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Mrs. Blankenship died Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at her residence. She was born June 16, 1931, in Morgan County to Colmon Dewey Holloway and Margaret Neva Roan Holloway. She was a retired Logistician from the U.S. Army Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal and a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church in Decatur. She was a member of the Morgan County Genealogical Society, Joe Wheeler Chapter United Daughters of the Confederacy and Stephens Chapter of National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Earl Alsbrooks; husband, Edward Clinton Sharp; husband, William Albert Burns; her parents; a sister, Martha Ann Holloway Blankenship; and two brothers-in-law, Max Blankenship and Bill Curry.
She is survived by her husband, Arlee Morris Blankenship of Decatur; two sons, Cecil Gregory Alsbrooks and wife Gail of Decatur and Dewey O’Dale Alsbrooks and wife Renee of Tuscaloosa; a brother, D.C. Holloway and wife Shirley of Lake Wales, Fla.; two sisters, Maudine Curry of Huntsville and Marjean Reynolds and husband George of Madison; two aunts, Helen Roan of Decatur and Norene Roan Burrow of Cullman; four granddaughters, Melissa Jill Alsbrooks Christianson and husband, Dale of Liberty Hill, Tex., Lauri Allison Alsbrooks Boardman and husband Charles and April Lindsey Alsbrooks Linville and husband Tyler, all of Hartselle and Cora Jane Alsbrooks Angiulli and husband Jon of Priceville; four great-grandchildren, Chandler Christianson, Lucas Christianson, Austin Boardman and Jackson Angiulli; seven stepsons, Jimmie Sharp and wife Sarah, Huey Sharp and wife Gloria, Ralph Sharp and wife Irma and Perry Sharp and wife Mary Ann, all of Decatur, Monte Sharp and wife Harriett of Ga., Mickey Burns and wife Melissa of Hartselle and Robert Burns and wife Cindy of Moulton; and three step-daughters, Robin Burns Mann and husband Jim of Owens Crossroads, Melissa Burns Martin and husband Rickey of Decatur and Marketa Blankenship VanKoughnett and husband Lee of Hartselle.
Pallbearers will be Charles Boardman, Jon Angiulli, Tyler Linville, Huey Sharp, Bob Burns, David VanKoughnett and Jeff Jones.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Valley.
