Cummings family has new arrival

The dictionary defines “temper” as a state of mind, disposition, condition. It can erupt quickly and the results can be very hurtful and devastating. It’s so sad that we so often target those we love with our hurtful words. I’ll be the first to admit that I do struggle with this issue. I’m trying to take the calm approach. Losing your temper is no way to get rid of it.
The beautiful flowers at New Center Baptist Church on Sunday were from the Bertie Lee Keel Johnson family. Continue to remember in prayer this family as well as others who have lost loved ones recently.
Get well wishes are extended to a dear friend, Anita Penn, who spent a couple of days in Huntsville Hospital recently.
Congratulations to Betty Cummings on the birth of her great-grandson, Gains William Moultrie, who was born on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011. He weighed nine pounds and one ounce. His proud parents are Ben and Brittney Moultrie and his grandparents are Bracy and Anita Cummings Jr.
Congratulations to Zach Penn and Katie McCarley who were married Saturday, Feb. 19, at Quail Creek Chapel. We wish you much happiness.
