Welcome home, Alisha

Danville news

Congratulations to my friends George and Betty Griffith on the birth of their great-granddaughter, Layla Skye Hagl who was born on March 16, Betty’s birthdate. She weighted five pounds and 14 ounces and was 19 inches long. Skye’s proud parents are Albert and Ashley Hagl and her proud grandparents are John and Melanie Frye. She also has a big sister named Lilly who is also very proud to have a baby sister.
Frances Vest Rowe enjoyed celebrating her birthday on March 18. She had an early celebration at the family’s weekly Tuesday night dinner. Attending were Mike, Sallye and Brennan Swafford, Pick, Mandy and Maeleigh Rowe and Paul Rose, Frances’s husband.
According to Frances, Sallye and Mandy always cook dinner on Tuesdays because she keeps both of her grandchildren on that day. Also helping Frances celebrate her birthday at Sweet Annie’s of Massey Town were her sister and brother-in-law, Lucy and Rob Slater.
Frances said she had a number of people come by her store to wish her a happy birthday.
I want to remind everyone in the Danville-Neel-Massey area that if you have news items to report, your can message me on facebook or email me at vaughn358@bellsouth.net.
