Funeral for Janet Allen, 84, of Somerville will be Wednesday, March 30, at 11 a.m. at Center Springs United Methodist Church with the Revs. Michael Mason and Steve Pilkington officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in Center Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 29, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Allen died Sunday, March 27, 2011, at her residence. She was born Thursday, June 3, 1926, in Morgan County to Homer Lyle Johnson and Alma Nivens Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Homer Johnson Jr. and Lyle Johnson.
She is survived by her husband, John Allen; two sons, Larry Allen and Ricky Allen, both of Somerville; two daughters, Gail Turney and husband Royce and Donna Nelson and husband Bill, all of Somerville; a half brother, Robert Johnson of Somerville; a half sister, Glenda Dunaway of Somerville; and six grandchildren, Terry Johnson and wife Lisa, Forrest Johnson and wife Lori, Jonathan Fairbanks and wife Meredith, Wendy Fentress and husband Todd, Tracy Sparks and Angie Voss and husband Gary.
Pallbearers will be Terry Johnson, Forrest Johnson, Perry Johnson, Jonathan Fairbanks, Paul Dunaway and Vaughn Winton.
The family would like to give  special thanks to Hospice of North Alabama.
