Barry Nial Holladay

A graveside memorial service for Barry Nial Holladay, 51, of Hartselle will be Sat., April 7, at 1 p.m. at Friendship Cemetery, south of Danville, with Bro. Dan Compton officiating. Peck Funeral Home assisted with the arrangements.

Mr. Holladay died Thur., March 29, 2012, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born July 31, 1960, in Jasper. He graduated from the former Morgan County High School in 1978 and earned B.S. and Masters degrees from UAH. He was a cornea donor for the Eye Foundation. He was preceded in death by his wife of 16 years, Ann Moody Holladay; his beloved grandfather, “Pappy” Earl Justice of Dora, his grandmother, Dorothy Roche of Key West, FL; and his grandparents, Emmett and Evie Holladay of Danville.

He is survived by a daughter, Sarah Ann Holladay of Hartselle; his parents, Cliff Niel and Barbara Justice Holladay of Hartselle; a brother, Brian Holladay an wife Denise of Chelsea; and a sister, Caryn Holladay of Hartselle.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to a college fund set up for his daughter, Sarah Ann Holladay at Bank Independent: Attn. Sarah Ann Holladay College Fund, P.O. Box 5000, Sheffield, AL 35660, or deposited in the Hartselle Branch Office.
