Hartselle boys golf takes third in county

Hartselle’s Aaron Compton took fourth place and helped the Tiger golf team take third place in the county golf tournament April 9

Compton shot a 79 to lead the team followed by Carson Clemons with 85, David Ferguson with 86, Garret Reist with 86 and Jordan Hartsell with 91.

Hartselle finished with a score of 336. Decatur won the county with a 322 followed by Austin with a 333.

Decatur Heritage was fourth with 342 followed by West Morgan at 361, Brewer at 391 and Priceville at 400.

Brewer scorers were Cole Oldacre with 89, Trevor Borden with 96, Taylor Stinson with 99, Colton Smith with 107 and Clint Murphree with 121.

Chad Steelmon led Priceville with 90 followed by Nicholas Hester with 96, Chance Ellsworth with 104, Jackson Morris with 117 and Jonathan Crow with 110.

Travis Blankenship from Falkville was the highest individual scorer followed by Justen Terry of Danville with 117, Johnny Tompkins of Falkville with 121 and Ryan Free of Falkville with 128.
