Ray, Parrish to marry in May

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ray Jr. of Hartselle are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Brittany Ray to Scott Anthony Parrish, son of Frank and Robin Parrish and Ben and Linda Padgett of Ellettsville and Bloomfield, Ind.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Seth Ballew Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ray Sr., all of Hartselle. She is a 2005 graduate of Hartselle High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in finance. She is employed at Ascend Performance Materials LLC in Decatur.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Waneta and the late Leon Trinkle of Ellettsville, Ind., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Denver Parrish of Spencer, Ind. He is a 2004 graduate of Edgewood High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in finance. He is employed at Paradigm Technologies in Huntsville.

The wedding will take place May 12, 2012, at New Center Baptist Church in Hartselle.
