Funeral for Allen Wilson Glenn, 74, of Valhermoso Springs, will be Thur., April 26, at 3 p.m. at Valhermoso Christian Church with the Rev. Jim Summers officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be Thur., April 26, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church.

Burial will be in Valhermoso Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Glenn died Mon., April 23, 2012, at Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville. He was born Sept. 25, 1937, in Morgan County to Robert E. Glenn and Martha Almyra Ewing Glenn. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and from SCI in Huntsville as an electrical engineer. He was a member and trustee of First Christian Church in Valhermoso Springs and a member of the Somerville Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed genealogy and was a HAM radio operator. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert Glenn; and a brother, Ralph Glenn.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn A. Glenn of Valhermoso Springs; a daughter, Laura Simmons and husband Rob of Jackson, Miss.; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be friends and members of the Masonic Lodge.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the First Christian Church in Valhermoso Springs or to the Valhermoso Springs Cemetery Fund.
