Mercier wins $2,000 BK scholarship

Makenzie Mercier was awarded a $2,000 scholarship from Burger King June 14. John Wessel, vice president and managing director of Wesfam Restaurants, Inc., came to present her with the check. She will be attending Jacksonville State University in the fall on a Faculty Scholarship. On hand for the presentation are, from left, Wessel; Mercier; her mother, Lisa Mercier; and her father, Mike Mercier.
