Victim identified in crash

Charles Wayne Roden, 62, of Hartselle suffered injuries and was transported to Decatur General Hospital Thursday morning when his car overturned after hitting a slick spot on Highway 31 N and overturning at the Hidden Acres Drive.

Also involved was a SUV driven by Kathleen Gillen of Hartselle. It was stopped on Hidden Acres Drive when the mishap occurred, and sustained minor damage. Roden’s car sustained major damage.

Hartselle police investigated the accident.
