Funeral for the Rev. Bill Partridge, 70, of Hartselle will be Tues., Sept. 18, at 2 p.m. at the Somerville Church of God Church with the Rev. Michael Gunter and the Rev. Danny Ricks officiating with burial in the adjoining cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
The body will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Brother Bill died Sat., Sept. 15, 2012, at his home. He was born June 14, 1942, in Opelika to Floyd Malford Partridge and Pearl Burden Partridge. He served in the ministry for over 40 years, pastoring in numerous churches in Ohio and Alabama. He opened the Hartselle Wedding Chapel in 2001 and it was his dream and passion. Bill was very active in the Hartselle Community and had served as a board member for the park and recreation. He was a bus driver for the Morgan County Schools System and was retired from Mutual Savings Life Insurance. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member and former commander and chaplain of the American Legion. He was a positive influence to all that ever met him. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Partridge; one son, Bill Partridge and wife Candis of Priceville; two daughters, Tammy Partridge Hancock and husband Daron and Teri Partridge Appleton both of Hartselle; four sisters, Iris Dye and husband Harland, Faye McKinney and husband Cecil, Janice Partridge and husband Melton and Sharon Adair and husband Wayne; 10 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
John Dye, Jeff Dye, Alex Cannon, Brad Clark, Austin Partridge, Dustin Hill, Spencer Appleton and Jordan Appleton will serve as pallbearers.
