Funeral for Ronnie Dale Maples, Sr., 61, of Hartselle will be Sat., Sept. 22, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Anthony Patterson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in New Center Cemetery. Visitation will be Fri., Sept. 21, 2012 from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Maples died on Wed., Sept. 19, 2012, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born Thur., April 26, 1951, in Morgan County to Ermerd Thomas Maples and Elma Olive Stinson Maples. Mr. Maples was a member of Gum Springs Baptist Church and loved his grandchildren with all his heart. He loved music, especially playing in church. He loved to fish with his children and grandchildren and also loved to make people laugh. He never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Bonnie Bomar; and his baby brother.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Irvin Maples of Hartselle; a son, Ronnie Dale Maples Jr. and wife Michelle of Hartselle; two daughters, Rhonda Bailey and husband Ben of Priceville and Amy Roberts and husband Chris of Hanceville; two brothers, Rickey Maples and wife Judy of Hartselle and Tommy Maples and wife Robin of Danville; a sister, Donnie Behel and husband Ralph of Somerville; and 10 grandchildren.
Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be nephews.
