6th, 7th and 8th grades:

9th, 10th and 11th grades:

1 (6-oz. container) blueberry yogurt
1/2 cup coconut
1.2 cup chopped pecans
Combing all ingredients in a bowl and stir until well blended, cover and chill for 30 minutes. Serve with crackers.
Have a cake baked in the shape of a football and serve assorted cheese balls with crackers and dips.
1/2 cup ketchup
1 tsp. mustard
1 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. sugar
3/4 cup water
1 lb. all beef hotdogs
Combine all ingredients except hotdogs. Cook hotdogs in hot margarine cover with sauce. Simmer slowly for 30 minutes.
1 tbsp. blackberry jam
1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
Put jam into a glass and stir in ice cream until well blended.
1/2 gallon apple cider
1 16-oz. ginger ale
Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
1 cup sour cream
2 or 3 fresh peaches
Slice peaches and add sour cream. Stir until mixed well.
Orange Cream Pie
1 can frozen orange juice
1 container cool whip
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 graham cracker pie shell or 6 graham cracker tarts
Combine orange juice, cool whip and milk; beat until creamy. Pour into pie shell or tarts.
Freeze and then set out 5 minutes before serving.
2 to 3 cups sliced okra
1 package hush puppy mix
Use enough hush puppy mix to batter the okra and celery salt to taste. Cook in a frying pan with a little cooking oil until the okra is tender.
2-3 tbsp. strawberry jam and 1/2 cup margarine, soften at room temperature. Put jam into the margarine and blend well. This butter is good on toast or crackers.
Rich Man’s Picnic
Use china and glassware and flatware instead of using plastic picnic gear. Also use fabric napkins and placemats. Select an ideal place to have the picnic, such as by the lake.
Serving tip: Make menu cards and list the type of food that is being served. By doing this people will not have to ask what the food is.
Party tip: Stock party foods, such as crackers, and ingredients for party sandwiches and dips. You will have these items at the tip of your fingers for the next party.
Cooking tip: Whenever you are cooking dried beans use one cup of beans to get 2 1/2 cups.
Cooking hint: You get 4 cups of flour from 1 pound. Use the correct size of pan or dish whenever cooking.
Spice tip: To keep spices fresh, date the container and this way you will know the length of the spice. Ground spices 3 years and whole spices 3-4 years. Pure vanilla will last forever.
Hint: Use herbal sachets for drawers to prevent smells and moths.
Food shopping tip: Buy meats and frozen items last, so they will not thaw before getting home.
Saving money: Pay cash whenever shopping instead of paying with check or credit card. This way you will not over spend.
Saving at food store: Take an inventory of what you have in your freezer before going food shopping and only buy enough frozen food to last 2-3 weeks. Date dot the packages; use the oldest one before using the new one.
Wardrobe planning: Spread out your entire wardrobe of clothes on the bed and match tops with pants, you can get several different outfits from one item of clothing. After doing this make a list of what to wear with each outfit and put into a note book. Whenever you get ready to dress you will know what to wear without wondering what to wear.
Jewelry: Match your jewelry the same way as you do your clothing.
