Reeves, Peck exchange vows

Anna Elizabeth Reeves and James Arthur Peck were married July 21, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. at Hartselle First United Methodist Church, with Revs. Harold E. Thomp-son and Bobby Ray Halbrooks officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Byron Reeves of Somerville. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Peggy Durand of Somerville and the late Mr. Robert Durand and Mrs. Gertrude Taylor of Seattle, WA, and the late Mr. John Reeves.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James David Peck of Hartselle. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hoyt “Ike” Groover and Mr. and Mrs. James Robert Peck, all of Hartselle.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal gown fashioned with a soft v-neckline and an A-line skirt with illusion beaded lace straps and asymmetrical taffeta pleats, which gathered at a drop waist. The skirt featured beaded lace while the back of the dress was enhanced with a scalloped, lace v-cut. Her fingertip length veil of ivory illusion was accented with delicate pearls.

She carried a bouquet of Sarah Bernhardt peonies, sweet peas, vendella roses, Esperance antique roses and spray roses handtied with her grandmother’s handkerchief and pinned by a charm given by the groom.

Maid of honor was Elizabeth Clemons.

Bridesmaids were Bailey Adams, Chrystalynn Beard, Taylor Cain, Shel-ley Harvel, Kelsey Jenson, Morgan McHugh, Can-dice Patterson, Emily Peck and Chloe Thomp-son.

Junior bridesmaid was Taylor Adams. The flower girl was Delaney Arnold.

Guest book attendants were Lauren Drake, Mary Virginia Reeves, and Lauren Dye.

The groom’s father, James Peck, served as best man. Groomsmen were Charles Anders, John Curtis Corrigan, Jordan Garrison, Robert Poole, Tyler Reeves, Tyler Sibley, Frank Smith, William Watt and Tyler Yarbrough.

Honorary groomsman was Lance Corporal Micah Host. Junior groomsman was Kyle Durand. The ring bearers were Sam Arnold and Kaleb Lytle.

Musicians included Ellen Bean, Randy Sparkman, and the Lyric Ensemble String Quartet. Vocalists were Taylor and Logan Cain and Rachael and Sam Fleischman.

Amy Robinson directed the wedding.

A reception followed the wedding at Terri Pines Country Club with Motown music provided by Aretta’s Review Band.

Prior to the wedding, the couple was honored with the following occasions:

A Christmas party was held at the home of Elizabeth Clemons.

A bridal tea was given at the home of Mrs. Mark Yeager with friends of the bride’s family co-hosting.

A family dinner was given by the Sims and Mayfield families at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Howell.

An afternoon tea was held at the home of Mrs. David Burleson with friends of the groom’s family co-hosting.

A tool and gadget party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Garrison and Mr. and Mrs. Doug Sibley and Martha Dunlap.

A bridal tea was given by friends from Shiloh Baptist Church.

Mr. and Mrs. Art Glasgow and Elizabeth Speake held a summer soiree.

A white party was given at the church the day of the wedding by friends of the groom’s family.

The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at Syke’s Place on Bank with music provided by Randall Key’s Jazz Combo.

Following their honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple is residing in Hartselle.
