Falkville’s season comes to an end

REFORM – The Blue Devils traveled to Reform to take on the Pickens County Tornados on Friday. Falkville lost 63-0 in their first playoff appearance since 2006.

Under head coach Joel Schrenk, the Blue Devils finished 7-4 and 3rd place in Region 6 in the 1A classification.

Running back Hunter Woodall finished the season with 153 rushes for 1001 yards, 12 rushing touchdowns and one punt return for a touchdown. Woodall also had 17 receptions for 157 yards.

Quarterback Aaron Estes managed 838 passing yards completing 73/137 with five touchdowns, nine rushing touchdowns and four interceptions. Also, he managed six interceptions on defense.

On the receiving side, Cade Wilemon found 19 receptions for 176 yards and two touchdowns. Lucas Johnson caught 10 passes for 206 yards and three touchdowns.

Shawn Mears lead in tackling with 41 solos and 32 assists on the season.

School officials wished to thank the Blue Devil Marching Band, cheerleading squad, coaches, staff, players and the fans for their support through an exciting season.
