Hopkins to get new vehicle
Morgan County Superintendent of Education Bill Hopkins will be getting a new vehicle soon to replace his 12-year-old SUV.
The condition of Hopkin’s vehicle was a subject of discussion at a BOE meeting Nov. 13.
“The superintendent is driving around in a death trap,’ reported board member Jimmy Dobbs. “His SUV is now on its third engine and is about ready to fall apart. We need to get him something that will suit his needs and get him out of harm’s way.
Other board members agreed that a new vehicle was justified and gave Hopkins the go-ahead to select a new vehicle and put it out for bids.
