Priceville tallies final wet-dry vote
Priceville officials have released the final vote count in the local option referendum on alcohol sales, which was held on Nov. 6.
The final count, including absentees and provisionals, shows that the proponents of legalized alcohol sales came out of top with 634 votes while those against the measure received 606 votes. The machine count was 634 “yes” votes and 589 “no” votes.
Of 22 absentee ballots cast, 14 favored alcohol sales while eight opposed. Of 15 provisional ballots, nine were “no” votes and six were “yes” votes.”
