Decatur Morgan Hospital helping conduct health assessment
Decatur Morgan Hospital, along with the other affiliates of Huntsville Hospital Health System, is conducting a Community Health Assessment throughout north Alabama over the next several months.
The assessment includes an online public survey, as well as feedback from physicians, and data from local, state, and national health agencies.
Hospital President Dean Griffin said that the findings from the assessment can help communities establish health priorities and improvement strategies for the future. He said that a comprehensive report from the study will be released during the first quarter of 2013.
County specific reports will be produced for a dozen north Alabama counties, including Colbert, Cullman, DeKalb, Franklin, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marion, Marshall, Morgan and Jackson Counties.
“We want residents in our community and surrounding areas to go online and take the self assessment. The survey is completely anonymous,” said Griffin.
The health survey is available through both campus websites – www.decaturgeneral.org and www.parkwaymedicalcenter.com.
