Bank Independent at 902 Hwy. 31 North in Hartselle was robbed of an undetermined amount of cash on Tuesday night.
An unknown black male walked up to the bank’s drive-through window at 7:50 p.m., told the teller he had a gun, demanded money and left on foot, according to Lt. Justin Barley, Hartselle Police Department investigator.
The teller described the man as light-skinned, brown-eyed, 6-0 to 6-1 tall and weighting about 185 pounds, Barley said. He was wearing blue jeans, a black T-shirt and grey athletic shoes. He also had a T-shirt wrapped around his head.
