Lawrence promoted to senior VP status
Hartselle native Brian Lawrence was recently promoted to senior vice president for C.W. Matthews Contracting Co, Inc. in Marietta, Ga.
C.W Matthews is the largest privately held road and bridge contractor in Georgia and one of the largest in the southeast with 1,100 employees and annual revenues of more than $300 million.
Lawrence oversees asphalt operations that include 27 asphalt plants and two liquid asphalt terminals and is the sole purchaser of liquid asphalt for the company. He is also president of the Georgia Asphalt Pavement Association.
Lawrence is a 1977 graduate of the former Morgan County High School where he was valedictorian of his graduating class. He is also a 1981graduate of Auburn University with a B.S. degree in civil engineering.
He has been married for 21 years to the former Jennifer Stewart. They have two children, Molly, 18, a freshman at Auburn and Stewart, 17, a senior at Kennesaw Mountain High School.
