15 meth labs found at Lacey’s Spring home

Two Lacey’s Spring residents are in custody after 15 one-pot methamphetamine labs were found at a home on Luker Road early Sunday morning.

At 1:45 a.m. Sunday, Morgan County Sheriff’s deputies executing a felony probation violation warrant for the arrest of Enola Hodgin of 39 Luker Road in Lacey’s Spring.

Sheriff Ana Franklin said Morgan County Drug Task Force agents were called out to scene and obtained a search warrant for the residence.

Law enforcement located 15 one-pot methamphetamine labs, three handmade gas generators, numerous chemicals and materials used in the manufacturing and consumption of methamphetamine, along with approximately one gram of methamphetamine.

In addition to arresting Hodgin, deputies found Dennis Wayne Fielder hiding in a closet.

The task force had also received numerous complaints about the residence.

Volunteers of the Cotaco Volunteer Fire Department were called to scene to decontaminate both subjects, due to being present at a residence where meth was manufactured.

Fielder and Hodgin were both arrested and charged with 15 counts of unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, three counts of unlawful possession of felony drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine and misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both suspects were transported to the Morgan County Jail and bonds are set at $85,300.00 each.
