Lady Blue Devils knock off Danville

Sydney Moore scored 21 points, including two game-tying free throws at the end of regulation, to lead Falkville to a 46-42 win over Danville Friday night.

Falkville led 28-23 heading to the fourth quarter, but Danville went on a 13-3 run to take a 36-31 lead with a minute to go.

But Moore hit four free throws and a 3-pointer to tie the game at 38, sending the game to overtime.

In that period, Moore and Patricia Kilgore added five free throws to seal the win in the final minute. Emily Mickel­son also had 11 while Kilgore had eight. Elizabeth Davis added four while McKenzie Smith had three.

Danville was led by Tara Tuck with 11 and five rebounds followed by Jesse Oliver with seven points. Gracie George added six points while Tabetha Hutto and Andrea Carter scored four and three respectively.
