The best gift of Christmas is God’s only son

Do you ever think back to when you were a child and how everything seemed so easy then. I know I do. In the summer- time momma could never get us to the supper table because we wanted to play outside as long as we could. On Sunday afternoon, daddy would go to the grocery store and buy a half a gallon of ice cream and make us milk shakes and it was so good. Old memories are so special to make us remember to make memories with our loved ones.

Happy birthday wishes go out this week to: Patsy Haywood on Dec. 19, Geoff Halbrooks and Zac Ferrell on Dec. 20, Jordon Dodd on Dec. 21, Faye Bowles and Alyssa Rogers on Dec. 22, Alissa Fortenberry and Eric heath on Dec. 23, Jimmy Walker and Joann England on Dec. 24, Mark Hatfield and C.J. Cook on Dec. 25.

Happy anniversary wishes go out this week to: Jason and Abby Jenkins on Dec. 15, Ed and Carrie Allen on Dec. 6, Dan and Kandy Cowan on Dec. 19, Bud and Maxine Gibson on Dec. 19, Pstor Steve and Whitney Cheuvront on Dec. 20.

Christian love and sympathy is extended to Milford and Faye Cobbs in the loss of Milford’s cousin, Steve Cobbs of Eva.

Get well wishes go out this week to all of those who have been affected by the flu and virus that has been going around. I hope all is back to normal soon.

Dec. 24 and 25 are two days that families will spend time together, eat lots of good food and open gifts that someone has brought for you. Let us focus first on the greatest gift of all, God’s loving gift of salvation given to all who will personally receive it. The best gift God’s Gift – his only son!

Merry Christmas from our home to yours.
