An accident involving a motorcycle caused undetermined injures to its driver and resulted in him being airlifted to Huntsville Hospital Monday afternoon.

Hartselle Fire Chief Steve Shelton said the cyclist was ejected and landed in the street about 100 yards north of the hairpin curve that separates Midwede Street and Puckett Road.

“He (the victim) complained of back pain and that led paramedics to call for a helicopter and transport him to Huntsville Hospital,” Shelton said. “We determined that a vacant lot on the north side of Puckett Road was a suitable pad for the chopper to land on and take off from.”

The crash occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. and was investigation by Hartselle Police Department.
