Brewer’s JV boys outscored Priceville 18 to 14 in the fourth quarter and went on to win the championship trophy in their division by the score of 53-45 at the Morgan County Tournament Saturday night.

The win boosts the Patriots’ record to 12-7 on the season while the Bulldogs dropped to 10-16.

Priceville was ahead 8-7 at the end of one quarter and held a three-point edge at halftime, 23-20. Brewer grabbed the lead in the third period on a basket by Josh Campbell with 1:12 left and maintained a lead the rest of the way.

“Our kids played hard and didn’t quit,” said Brewer head coach Jeff Thompson. “The pace was fast and that’s how we like it. We have a lot of good ball handlers and they showed it today.”
