Funeral for Evelyn Frances Harvel, 82, of Danville will be Fri., Feb. 1, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Lynn Harvel and Neal Blaxton officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Thur., Jan. 31, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Harvel died Tues., Jan. 29, 2013, at her residence. She was born Sept. 6, 1930, in Morgan County to Charles Luther Clemons and Janie Marie (Slaten) Clemons. Mrs. Harvel was employed for 53 years at Big Bob Gibson’s BBQ, where she was a pie maker and cashier. She was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Harvel.

She is survived by two sons, Lynn Harvel and wife Sheila and Garry Harvel and wife Judy, both of Hartselle; two daughters, Margaret Ricks and husband Tom of Moulton and Angie Griswold and husband Charlie of Danville; a brother, Benny Clemons of Moulton; a sister, Lucille Lackey of Hartselle; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Lackey, Wayne Davis, Danny Ward, James Ward, Ronnie Reeves and Glenn Free.
