County EMS ambulances repossessed
Three County EMS ambulances were repossessed Monday night, leaving the company with just two ambulances serving the Hartselle and Falkville areas.
However, Hartselle Fire Chief Steve Shelton said the city will continue to have ambulance service.
“We are working with other ambulance services to make sure that we are covered here in Hartselle,” Shelton said Monday night. “We will meet with County EMS to determine what we need to do.”
Morgan County 911 director Ryan Welty said in a statement that Crossroads EMS and Samaritan EMS deployed ambulances to southwest Morgan County. He added that all ambulances in the county are equipped with location devices, so that dispatchers can send the closest ambulance to any specific call.
