A 40-year-old man was arrested Monday after failing to register as a sex offender with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department.
The Morgan County Special Victims Unit arrested John Milton Hale, 40, and charged him with “failure to notify a move” because he did not notify the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office of his residence in Morgan County. He was placed in jail on a $2,500 bond.
Hale, who is a convicted sex offender, is required to register in accordance with statutes of the Sexual Offenders Registration Notification Act. SVU investigator Eric Fields found Hall registered his address with the Calhoun County Sheriffs Office at 87 Bowling Avenue in Anniston.
