Shelby to visit city
Hartselle and Morgan County residents will have the chance to hear from U.S. Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Tuscaloosa, during a meet and greet dutch lunch Wednesday at the Freight House Restaurant at noon. The meeting is open to the public.
Shelby will address the legislative agenda for the first session of the 113th Congress, as well as issues facing the nation and the state of Alabama.
Following his speech, members of the audience may ask questions to Shelby and make public comments.
“Over the years, these meetings have provided an excellent opportunity for area residents to listen and voice their opinions on the activities of our government,” Shelby said in a statement. “This will be a great chance to discuss the important issues facing our state and our nation.”
