AT&T adding 4G in Hartselle
AT&T is planning to upgrade its service in Hartselle to provide more 4G service.
The Hartselle City Council approved two resolutions that will give the telecommunications company the OK to start renovations of their towers at 999A Railroad St. and 2910B Highway 31 North.
Mignon Bowers, representative with Center for Municipal Solutions, AT&T is planning to add antennas and other equipment that will enhance the 4G service at the US. 31 site and bring the service at the Railroad Street tower up to 4G.
Bowers said no additional towers would have to be constructed to perform the modifications.
“All of the work will take place on AT&T’s current towers,” Bowers said.
