Rodeo to parade in Hartselle

Sheriff Ana Franklin is bringing back the Morgan County Sheriff’s Rodeo Parade March 9 in advance of its annual rodeo a few days later.

According to the event permit submitted to the city, the event is slated to begin around 11 a.m. on March 9 and end at around 3 p.m.

The parade will begin on Vest Road and then turn on Lane Road. It will then cross U.S. 31 and head for downtown Hartselle on Sparkman Street.

The parade will then go down the upper part of Main Street, turn left on Railroad Street and then head back to the Posse Grounds in the northwest side of town.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Rodeo will be held at the Morgan County Celebration Arena March 22-23. Tickets for children ages 5-12 are $8 to order ahead and $10 at the gate, for the 7 p.m. shows. Children ages 4 and under are free. Adult tickets are $12 for presale and $15 at the gate. Slack will be Saturday morning for $5.

A Special Needs Rodeo will also be held at Morgan County Celebration Arena on March 21.
