Traffic stop results in meth bust
Two Hartselle residents are facing drug charges after Morgan County Sheriff’s Deputies found methamphetamine during a traffic stop on Alabama 36 early Wednesday morning.
Joshua Wade Lacy, 30, and Julia Rose Brewer, 31, both of Hartselle, were arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Both suspects are currently in the Morgan County Jail, where they could be facing revocation of probation for other offenses.
On Wed., Feb. 27, Morgan County deputies stopped a vehicle at Alabama 36 and Perkins Wood Road just east of Hartselle for a minor traffic violation.
Deputies obtained consent from the suspects to search the vehicle and discovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
