Dugger, Schmitt exchange vows

Whitney Lauren Dugger and Preston Lee Schmitt were married Dec. 29, 2012, at Holmes Street United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Sparkman officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Alex and Stephanie Stewart of Hartselle and Troy and Linda Dugger of Decatur. Her grandparents are the late Allen and Melba Dugger of Decatur.

The groom is the son of David and Teresa Schmitt of Huntsville. His grandparents are Warren Schmitt and the late Edith Lorraine Schmitt, and the late Elbert Austin Phillips Sr. and Shelby Jean Phillips all of Huntsville.

The bride was given in marriage by her fathers, Troy Dugger and Alex Stewart.

Hope Wallace Hamilton of Hartselle and Leah Beth Downs McNutt of Birmingham were matrons of honor.

Bridal attendants were Kathryn Robinson of Russellville, Lauren Dye of Hartselle, Danyel Stephenson of Hartselle, Bailey Brooks of Huntsville, Amy Richey of Gulfport, Miss., Sara Gipson of Muscle Shoals and the groom’s sister, Megan Schmitt Gautney, of Athens.

Stella Grace Philips and Macelyn Elizabeth Donaldson were flower girls.

The best men were Warren Schmitt and David Schmitt, both of Huntsville.

Groomsmen were Samir Beri of Indianapolis, Ind., Caleb Gautney of Athens, Elbert Austin Phillips III of Hazel Green, Keith and Kyle Chronister, both of Athens, and Alex Kluka and Daniel Lumpkin, both of Huntsville.

Ring bearer was Grayson Lumpkin.

Music was provided by Rachel and Sam Fleischman and Taylor Cain, all of Hartselle and the Felicity Strings Quartet.

A reception was held at Huntsville Museum of Art at 7 p.m. with “The Flashbacks” as entertainment.

The wedding director was Brenda Wilbanks. Joanne Oswalt. Beth Fleischman assisted with the wedding reception.

The bride’s book was attended by Sarah Ward and Deanna Powers, both of Huntsville, Megan Green Lowery of Hazel Green and McKenzie Martin of Florence.

A rehearsal party was given art Hampton House at Hampton Cove by the groom’s parents, David and Teresa Schmitt.

The couple is residing in Meridianville.
