One person was airlifted to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash on West Main Street Friday afternoon.

The crash occurred at the intersection of West Main Street and Bellemeade Street SW around 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

A medical helicopter landed in an open field near the scene of the crash to transport a victim. | Brent Maze

The vehicles involved were a Mercury sedan and a utility truck. The driver of the Mercury sedan was airlifted to the hospital from the wreck scene.

The driver of the other vehicle was not transported to the hospital from the scene.

Hartselle Police are investigating the crash.
