Wayne and Oralean Brown of Winston-Salem, N.C., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 16, 2013.
A reception hosted by their children was held at Tobaccoville Community Center in Tobaccoville, N.C.
They were married on March 15, 1963, in Hartselle. The couple has three children, Natalie Lemons and husband Tim of King, N.C., Danielle Dowell and husband Charles of Fries, Va., and Marc Brown and wife Doniel of Mocksville, N.C. They have eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Wayne retired from the Boy Scouts of America, where he was director of field services for the Old Hickory Council. Oralean is a homemaker and a songwriter/artist.
