Funeral for Bill Maxwell, 81, of Falkville will be Sat., March 30, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. A. Ray Lee officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Herring Cemetery. Visitation will be Fri., March 29, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Maxwell died Thur., March 28, 2013, at Brookwood Medical Center. He was born June 19, 1931, in Morgan County to Tennis Maxwell and Verdie Briscoe Maxwell. He was a former truck driver for EFP South Corp. He was a corporal in the U.S. Army and a veteran of the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Lula Garnett Maxwell of Falkville; five sons, James “Bubba” Maxwell of Florette, Randy Maxwell and Terry Maxwell, both of Falkville, Danny Maxwell of Moulton and David Maxwell of Danville; a daughter, Donna Farris of Falkville; a brother, James V. Maxwell of Ryan; 18 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
