FES announces honor roll

Falkville Elementary School has announced its honor roll for the third nine weeks.

Honorees include:

First Grade

Cooking tip – Sprinkle flour for thicken with salt first, and it will not get lumpy.

Cherry pie

1 graham cracker pie crust

1 can sweetened condensed milk

1/4 cup lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

4 ounces cool whip, thawed

1 cup crushed pineapple, drained

1/2 cup chopped pecans

1/2 cup maraschino cherries, chopped

Combine milk, lemon juice and vanilla. Mix until well blended. Fold in remaining ingredients one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Put into piecrust. Freeze 2 to 3 hours, until firm. Let stand 15 to 20 minutes at room temperature before serving.
