Lady Tigers capture Morgan County title

Jada Hayes struck out nine batters and allowed just two hits. She also was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run.

Taylor Wascavage was 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs. Baylee Holt was 3-for-3 with two runs and a double. Leah Stephenson also added a pair of hits and two RBIs.

Haley Jared drove in a run on a hit.

Hartselle 4, Danville 0

The Lady Tigers exploded for three runs in the first inning and went on to defeat Danville 4-0 in the semifinals of the winner’s bracket in the Morgan County Tournament on Saturday afternoon.

Sittason led Hartselle at the plate with a two-run homer and a single. Wascavage followed with a solo home run, Faulk added a pair of singles and Holt had a single.

Hannah Grace Sherrill lined a double for Danville’s only hit.

Jared was the winning pitcher. She allowed no runs on one hit while striking out seven batters and walking one.

Savannah Bolton went the distance for the Lady Hawks. She allowed four runs on seven hits while striking out two batters and walking one.
