Lacey’s Spring big winner in tournament

On March 21, the Spring Morgan County Scholars’ Bowl tournament was held at Cotaco Junior High School.

Five schools participated – Cotaco, Danville, Eva, Falkville and Lacey’s Spring. Each had two teams competing for the championship.

The teams faced off in a double elimination tourney. Eight teams competed at the same time while the two teams not competing played chess during the break.

Lacey’s Spring won first place followed by Cotaco Junior High in second place, Eva Junior High in third place and Danville Middle in fourth place.
