Tigers beat Cullman twice to end season

Thanks to its senior class, the Hartselle varsity boys soccer team swept Cullman this week to end the season.

The Tigers won a tight game Monday 1-0. The only goal was an Olympic corner kick goal from Cameron Carlisle in the 49th minute.

On Tuesday at Cullman, the Tigers dominated the Bearcats, winning 5-1. Mitchell Warren scored the first goal 13 minutes into the game off a through pass from Cameron Carlisle.

Ten minutes later, Warren returned the favor by sending Carlisle through for the second goal. Just before the half, Cullman’s Miguel Pascual found the goal.

But four minutes into the second half, Warren broke through for a third Hartselle goal, making it 3-1. In the 67th minute Cameron Carlisle robbed a defender in position deep in Cullman’s half and found the goal to make it 4-1. Eli Bair scored the final goal in the 75th minute off a penalty kick earned by Mitchell Warren.
