Church Calendar for May 1

Forrest Chapel United Methodist Church, 250 Forrest Chapel Road, Hartselle, will open its sanctuary from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thur., May 2, for the National Day of Prayer. There will be prayer guides for those who want to spend time in prayer for our nation and leaders. For more information, call the church office at 256-773-2730.

First Christian Church, located on the corner of Main Street and Sloss, is having a large yard sale as a fundraiser for youth camp Fri., May 3, and Sat., May 4, from 7 a.m. (firm) to 1 p.m. Lots of furniture items, clothing, toys and household items available. Items will be located both inside church and outside.

Forrest Chapel United Methodist Church, located at 250 Forrest Chapel Road in Hartselle, will have its homecoming on Sun., May 5, beginning with worship at 10:30 a.m. Potluck lunch will follow in the fellowship hall. For more information, call the church office at 256-773-2730.

Point Mallard Parkway Baptist Church in Priceville is hosting an awareness event for Yesu Asobola Ministries, located in eastern Uganda. Join us May 10, at 6 p.m. in celebrating with a silent auction, complimentary refreshments and music from “Free Indeed.” T-shirts and free trade beaded necklaces will be available for purchase. Donations encouraged.

Sonrise Baptist Church, 1410 Thompson Rd., Hartselle, is having an Outreach Supper, free to the public, Sat., May 11, at 5:30 p.m. For more information, call 256-773-3435.
