A memorial service for Johnny Brown, 67, of Hartselle will be Thur., May 2, at 6 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clyde Ledlow officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be Thur., May 2, from 5 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Brown died Tues., April 30, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born June 2, 1945, in Morgan County to John Alvin Brown and Adice Hallmark Brown. Mr. Brown was self-employed as a tree trimmer and he did construction work. He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Mellissa and Lisa Brown; two sisters, Brenda and Nancy Brown; and two brothers, Macky and Paul Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Wendy Brewer Brown; two sons, Jeffrey Brown and Dwight Brown; two daughters, Candie Brown and Donna Brown; a stepson, Jeremy Brewer; a step-daughter, Michelle Crow; four brothers, James Brown, Jerry Brown, Alan “Buddy” Brown and Charlie Brown; three sisters, Lori Crowe, Janice McCleskey and Faye Barber; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
