Charles ‘Buddy’ Freeman

Funeral for Charles “Buddy” Freeman, 72, of Valhermoso Springs will be Sat., May 11, at 2 p.m. at Valhermoso Holiness Church with Bro. Melvin Brown and Bro. Tim Patrick officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Valhermoso Holiness Cemetery. Visitation will be Fri., May 10, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Freeman died Tues., May 7, 2013, at his residence. He was born April 20, 1941, in Morgan County to William Claude Freeman and Pearlie May Meeks Freeman. He was a welder for the John Blue Company and was a farmer. Mr. Freeman and his wife, Marcella Hudgins were married April 14, 1962, and had just celebrated 51 years together. He was preceded in death by two children, Jerome and Kendall Freeman; and his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Marcella Freeman of Valhermoso Springs; a son, John Freeman and wife Michelle of Somerville; two daughters, Vickie Cox and husband Joel of Neosho, Mo. and Tina Bracken and husband Ben of Valhermoso Springs; a brother, Marvin Freeman of Hartselle; a sister, Margie Filyan of Cullman; 10 grandchildren, Brandon Muzzey, Heather Bracken, Jamie Bracken, Roman Freeman, Ashley Freeman, Jimmy Freeman, Kristina Freeman, Logan Freeman, Molly Freeman and husband John and Ayden Freeman; and a great-grandchild, Tyler Freeman.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Muzzey, Roman Freeman, Jimmy Freeman, John

Herndon, Joe Freeman and Jessie Dempsey. Honorary pallbearers will be Joel Cox and Jamie Dempsey.
