Shady Grove Baptist anounces Bible school

The members of Shady Grove Baptist Church will be holding their vacation Bible school on June 2-6 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Classes will be for preschool through sixth grade. The title of the vacation Bible school program will be “Colossal Coaster World” and will be about facing fear and trusting God from 2nd Timothy 1-7: For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind.

Special belated happy birthday wishes go out this week for Kim Parker and Gracie Jones on May 20.

Happy birthday wishes go out this week for Mary Terry, Ricky Turrentine and Hayden Roden on May 22, Bobbie Smith on May 23, Rod Gillott on May 25 and Connie Wallace on May 26.

Wonderful congratulations go out this week for Brandon and Sara Turrentine on the birth of their son, Preston Issac Turrentine. Preston was born on April 13. He weighed seven pounds and eleven ounces and was twenty and one-half inches long. Preston’s proud grandparents are James Taylor Cornelius, Gail Pevahouse and Brad Turrentine and the proud great-grandparents are Alta Pevahouse and Helen Cornelius.

Wonderful belated happy wedding anniversary wishes go out this week for Jimmy and Aleshia Dobbins, as they celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary Mon., May 20, Joe and Jamie Jones, as they celebrated their first anniversary on Mon., May 20, Jeremy and Leslie McAbee, as they celebrated their second wedding anniversary Tues., May 21, Cody and Courtney Camper, as they celebrated their second wedding anniversary, also on Tues., May 21.
