Funeral for Albert Bohnet, 85, of Falkville will be Fri., June 7, at 3 p.m. at Journey Church with the Rev. Joey Coots officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be Thur., June 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Bohnet died Sun., June 2, 2013, at his residence. He was born Oct. 17, 1927, in North Dakota to Nathaniel Bohnet and Dora Raul Bohnet. Mr. Bohnet was formerly employed as a maintenance worker at Burningtree Country Club. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Venia Bohnet of Falkville; two sons, Dennis Bohnet of Florida and David Simmons of Moulton; six daughters, Sandra Whitcomb and Dianne Bohnet of California, Rosemary Bartram and husband Larry of West Virginia, Donna Hillyer of Ohio, Teresa Kinney and husband Dwight of Eva and Leisha Simmons of Logan; three brothers, Allan Bohnet of North Dakota, Jimmy Bohnet of Michigan and Leroy Bohnet of Arizona; two sisters, Emma Westman of North Dakota and Martha Haikenson of Minnesota; 17 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
