Falkville Public Library announces summer reading schedule

The Falkville Public Library Summer Reading Program “Dig in and Read” will be held throughout July. All sessions are at 2 p.m. in the town hall courtroom. All area youth are invited as well as parents and others who are interested.

 

July 2

The Falkville Public Library will kick off its Summer Reading Program with story time, checking out books and materials, crafts and refreshments.

 

July 11

Helen Steabutzel will present the Falkville Public Library Summer Reading Program on “Worms and Composting.”

 

July 18

Cook’s Pest Control will conduct the Falkville Public Library Summer Reading Program on “Underground Animals.”

 

July 25

The Falkville Public Library concludes the Summer Reading Program with Vulcan Materials’ presentation of their “Fossils” show. Participants will turn in their reading totals and prizes will be given. Youth, parents and program leaders will have a pizza party following the program.
