What does your character say about you

What would your name be? If someone decided to call you a name according to your character what would they call you? Would they refer to you as discontent, unhappy, sad, happy or someone who complains all the time. In Acts 4:36 we see that Barnabas means “son of consolation or encourager.” So we need to focus on ourselves because if you are like me I want to also be an encourager and not a discourager.

Christian love and sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Irene Nuby, Christine Pendley, Keith Barber and O. B. Owens.

Get well wishes and a speedy recovery go out this week to my sister, Roxanne Tucker who had a total hip replacement recently.

Happy birthday wishes go out this week to Daniel Ruhl on June 27, Rusty Casper and Kandy Cowan, both on June 29, Abbie Clemons and Joan Dobbs, both on June 30 and Shane Hicks on July 1.

Happy anniversary wishes go out this week to Jeremy and April Childers and Wray and Mary Ellen Elliott, all on June 27 and Larry and Jane Swearengin on June 28.

New Center Baptist Church has invited Shoal Creek, Gum Springs and Bethlehem Baptist to join them for their Fifth Sunday Night Singing on June 30 at 6 p.m. Finger foods will be served afterwards. Make plans now to attend.
