Funeral for Roger Otto Hensley, 61, of Danville, was Mon., July 22, at 3 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Richard Sport and the Rev. Jack Bailey officiating.

Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Hensley died Sat., July 20, 2013, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, He was born Jan. 28, 1952, to Otto and Mildred Lynne Hensley in Lawrence County. He was a member of Danville Church of Christ. He retired as a chemical operator from 3M after 35 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Hensley; a son, Adam Roger Hensley and wife Laura Leigh of Priceville; a daughter, Laura Ann Hasselman and husband Matthew Edward of Danville; a niece he considered as a daughter, Christy Beard Simmons of Falkville; three brothers, Jackie Hensley, William Hensley and Wade Hensley; and three grandchildren, Abby Hensley, Elle Hensley and Maddie Hensley.
