Ruby Berta Rodgers Huskey

A memorial service for Ruby Berta Rodgers Huskey, 94, of Hartselle will be Wed., July 31, at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Harold Thompson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery.

Mrs. Huskey died Mon., July 29, 2013, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born May 12, 1919, in Morgan County to Ralph Rodgers and Minnie Roper Rodgers. Mrs. Huskey was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cecil Huskey; and a son, Scott Huskey.

She is survived by a son, Jerry Huskey and wife Patty of Trinity; a daughter-in-law, Linda Huskey of Hartselle; a sister, Martha Patterson of Hartselle; a sister-in-law, Nell Rodgers of Decatur; two grandchildren, Josh Huskey and Lindsey Thorn; two great-grandchildren, Chloe and Cole Thorn; two step-grandchildren, Jenni Cole and Mandy Johnson; four step-great-grandchildren, Jase, Molly, Tyler and Trent.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to special caregivers, Carolyn Burns and Marie Sandlin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church of Hartselle’s Building Fund.
